Achievements and Experience

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Currently working under the guidance of Dr. Murat Yuksel at Networks and Wireless Systems Lab (NWSL), at University of Central Florida.

I work on the following core areas:

  • Optimizing positioning and direction of mmWave antenna beams by carefully tweaking beam-steering angles to improve the overall SINR of a directional antenna coalition structure, along with multiple unique and interesting heuristic approaches.

  • Implementing adversarial antenna nodes and evaluating how their presence affects the overall SINR of the coalition. Doing comparative study of with and without security in mind among the directional antenna nodes. Have achieved interesting initial insights.

  • Surveying various interesting security aspects in mmWave and Terahertz communication mechanisms and compiling them into a survey paper, anticipating for a journal submission.

COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH

I have contributed significantly on collaborative efforts at NWSL. We have worked on a novel project to implement internet ‘peering’ concepts into the cellular world.

We showed the interesting case of customer-provider economic relationship under the peering
scenario that we have proposed (our wireless peering approach is absolutely new and novel in the community).

We created a customer satisfaction criterion under this scenario, such that both the wireless
service providers and customers enjoy better QoS compared to traditional roaming.

AWARDS RECEIVED

I have been honored by the following awards:

  • Graduate Research Support Award from University of Central Florida, for exceptional
    performance in research curriculum.

  • Graduate presentation fellowship (two times) from University of Central Florida to present accepted
paper at NetGCooP and WCNC conferences.

  • WCNC student Travel Grant.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE SKILLS

I enjoy working with following tools:

  • Coding and Simulation like Python 3.x, Matlab, GNU radio, SRSLTE etc.

  • Hardware environments like Xilinx FPGA, Arduino, Intel x86 microcontroller etc.

  • USRPs like USRP b210, N210, X210

  • Electronics hardware like Oscilloscope, Digital Function Generator,
AC/DC Power Supply, Digital Multimeter etc.
